This
proposal is an adaptive housing system which can be transformed based on
different requirements of the users in different life stages, meanwhile still
keeps their favorite spatial property during the remodeling procedure. In this
project we develop series of spatial units which can be move and remodeled. The
users can choose units to compose their own dreaming house based on what they
need. Outside of units there is a transformable skin which is used for
enclosure and create the interior/ sub-interior space. Once the users'
family structure changes or have any new needs in programs, the skin would be
deformed by KUGA based on the collected data from smart sensors. After the
interior space enlarged and expanded, the users can insert more new space units
to satisfy their new requirements. In the end this system is just like
organic amoeba cells which can deform and mutant, continuously evolute
in ordered to perfectly fit the users' needs.
